How many months you can claim and how much each — and why the regional ceiling makes 60% not really 60%.
The benefit is 60% of your average contribution salary over the last six months, but capped at five times the regional minimum wage — so for a higher earner the real replacement rate falls well below 60%. The number of months is a coarse step function: 12 months and 35 months of contributions both earn exactly 3, and only month 37 moves you up. This renders the whole ladder and marks where you sit on it.
This tool is for reference, not tax or legal advice. A real payslip also depends on company-specific arrangements (who bears the insurance, caps on tax-exempt allowances, internal pay grades). Check with your C&B team or the tax authority before acting on it.

The first rung is wide: 12 months and 35 months both earn exactly 3 months of benefit. From month 37, each further 12 months adds one, up to 12. Leftover months aren't lost — they're reserved toward a future claim.
The unemployment benefit is PIT-exempt and carries no insurance contributions. To qualify: the contract must have ended lawfully (not unlawful abandonment, and not while drawing a pension), the claim must be filed within 3 months of termination, and you must still be unemployed after 15 days. Payment starts on the 11th working day after a complete claim is filed.
